The patients are responsible for keeping their appointment as missing appointments or failure to cancel an appointment can result in other patients who need to be seen from missing an opportunity to get that appointment slot.
We prefer communication from the patients at the time of visit as to the medications that need to be filled and prefer that all needs with regards to medications be addressed at the time of the regular scheduled clinic appointment.
It is strongly recommended that all patients maintain a record of their medications, which can be a written list or a list in their smart phone. The list should include all their medication specifically including dosage of the medication, the frequency that the medication is taken as well as the prescribing physician. This helps us so in better communication and proper and accurate record keeping.
We try to respond to patient calls within the day of its receipt, however calls received after 3 p.m. may be answered the following day. We also strongly recommend the use of our patient portal service where email communication can be a more expedient way of getting through to the staff at the office and obtaining a response.
