Tameka Morgan
Meet Tameka Morgan, a Board Certified ® Family Nurse Practitioner.
Tameka joined AM Diabetes with over 27 years of experience as a nursing professional in critical care and has been a provider with the AM Diabetes team working with Dr. Latif since 2022.
After attending the Methodist School of Nursing Tameka received her BS with honors from the University of Texas at Arlington then went on to receive her Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of North Alabama.
Due to family history, Tameka has a personal connection to Type 2 diabetes and has seen its long term effects. This connection drives her passion for prevention and education of the disease with a goal to reduce the disability and potential mortality associated with its effects.
Katherine Dean, CPNP-PC
Katherine Dean is a Pediatric Certified Nurse Practitioner – Primary Care, whom has been certified by the Pediatric Certification Board. She received Her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition Science from Auburn University, her Bachelor of Science and Her Master of Science in Nursing from Emory University.
Dean received prior clinical training with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Endocrinology team. In addition, she has RN experience with residential pediatric mental health. Katherine has a personal connection with Type 1 Diabetes and is passionate about supporting, advocating and providing care for children and their families living with the disease.
Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband and goldendoodle, Oakley. Katherine enjoys traveling, trying new local restaurants, reading, hot yoga classes and spending time outdoors.
Marianne Briggs, DNP
Marianne Briggs is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Marianne received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Belmont University. Briggs holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from Union University.
As a registered nurse, Marianne spent six years working at Methodist Germantown on their Cardiac Step-Down unit. This experience has given her the passion for helping patients gain better control over their blood sugar to prevent further complications associated with diabetes.
Outside of work, Marianne enjoys spending time with her family, which includes her husband, daughter, and two dogs. Briggs also enjoys going for walks and runs in her free time.
Ashlyn
Ashlyn is a registered dietitian who believes that “All foods fit!” She is passionate about educating her patients on
practical meal and snack ideas, and she loves creating realistic goals with her patients. If you see her in clinic, she’s
always ready to answer your questions! When she’s not in clinic, Ashlyn is outside going for walks with her husband or
painting!
Terry Moore, RN, CDCES
Terry Moore is a Registered Nurse and a Certified Diabetes Educator. She graduated with honors from Baptist Memorial School of Nursing in Memphis. Moore has been the recipient of the Gold Standard Award and a finalist twice for the Memphis Business Journal Healthcare Heroes Award. Prior to arriving at AM Diabetes & Endocrinology Center in 2009, Terry worked for Baptist Memorial Hospital and UT Medical Group.
In addition to being a diabetes educator and a Certified Pump Trainer, Moore has developed diabetes education material and written chapters in education manuals as well as speak at community events. Her passion for those living with diabetes is evident as she has spent time every summer since 1998 as a staff member at Camp Hopewell Diabetes Sessions. Moore has also moderated diabetes support groups.
Terry and her husband have two adult children, 7 cats and 2 turtles. She enjoys walking outside, gardening and playing her clarinet in the church orchestra.
